In 2019, Dr. Ambrosie was given the opportunity to purchase Lake Country from its current owner and founder, Dr. Wayne Beilman. Having experienced Lake Country as a client and now an associate veterinarian, the decision was an easy one. In June of 2021, Dr. Allison Ambrosie became the proud owner of LCVC. Dr. Ambrosie’s goal as the new owner is to maintain the personal relationships with clients and the quality medicine that has always been offered while making revisions to align with modern standards and practices. As part of the transition, Dr. Ambrosie was required to establish a new name under which she would conduct business. In order to align with her goal of merging the old and the new, Dr. Ambrosie established her DBA as Lake Country Veterinary Care. The name change is the foundation upon which the practice will continue to evolve in management decisions and services offered to enhance the overall experience for our loyal clients. Dr. Ambrosie has a special interest in pain management and rehabilitation. She is currently completing her certificate in canine rehab therapy. She hopes to add on acupuncture and spinal manipulation in the near future as she thinks integrative medicine is the best approach to treating the whole animal.
Dr. Ambrosie graduated from Skaneateles in 1998, and now when she’s not at the clinic, you can find her cheering for her son Frankie on the football or baseball field as he plays for the Lakers. Most of her free time is either spent with family who still live in the area, fishing, gardening, or relaxing at home with her son and their rescue dog, Twix, and two rescue cats Mickey and Beverly.
My name is Dr. Nick Bogumil and I am a graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed my clinical year at Michigan State University Veterinary Hospital. I am originally from Florida but moved to New York with my wife (also a vet) to be closer to both of our families.
I love working with cats and dogs and have a special interest in ophthalmology. My wife and I have two dogs currently, an older black lab named Grizzly and a bloodhound named Chloë. We are also adding another black lab to the family soon!
Outside of work, I enjoy golfing, hiking, and taking our dogs on adventures. I look forward to taking care of your pets' needs and providing the best medicine possible.
My name is Dr. Becca Kanoza and I am a graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. While there, I gained a strong foundation in small animal medicine and developed a special interest in both internal medicine and surgery. I really enjoy the variety these areas offer and the opportunity to follow cases closely while also providing hands-on care in the surgical setting.
Originally from Syracuse, New York, I now live in Camillus and am very excited to be back in Central New York with my friends and family. I am really looking forward to building relationships with clients while caring for their pets as if they were my own.
At home, I keep busy with my two dogs, Barkley, a lazy French Bulldog with a big personality, and Dudley, an affectionate Aussie-doodle mix with endless energy. I am also looking forward to adding another furry family member in the near future.
When I’m not in the clinic, I really enjoy discovering new coffee shops and bakeries, often on the hunt for a sweet treat. I love to spend time outdoors hiking local trails, as well as staying active with Pilates and cycling classes. Lastly, one of my favorite ways to unwind is visiting with my nephew, Benjamin, who never fails to make me laugh.
My number one value is building strong connections with both pets and their owners by practicing the best medicine and I will strive to make every visit a positive experience.
Originally from Florida, Jenni moved to New York in 2024 and is excited to now call it home. A proud Cuban American who is bilingual in English and Spanish, she enjoys helping pet owners feel comfortable, informed, and supported in caring for their pets.
She has spent the better part of a decade working as a credentialed veterinary technician, with extensive experience in both shelter medicine and private practice. Much of her career has been dedicated to pet parent education, where she developed a strong passion for patient advocacy, efficiency, and high-quality medical care.
She deeply believes in the power of the human-animal bond and the profound impact it has on the well-being of both pets and their families. Providing compassionate, high-quality care to pets and the people who love them is at the heart of everything she does. She looks forward to becoming an active part of the community and supporting the health and happiness of its pets for years to come.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys crafting and painting, adventuring with her partner Lindsey and their dog Daisy, or cuddling up with their cats Groot, Uma, and Spruce.

Sarah started with Lake Country in 2019 while completing an internship as part of her college education. Sarah came on full-time as an assistant while waiting to take her licensing exam in the height of the pandemic and became a licensed technician in March of 2021. Sarah has shown exceptional growth over the years in building her skills and the relationships that she has with our clients and staff. As a result, Sarah accepted the position of Lead LVT in 2026 and has continually exemplified compassion and hard work.
When she’s not taking care of our community’s pets, she enjoys spending time with her sweet rescue dog, Aggie. She also enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with friends.

My name is Leah. I am currently a vet assistant here at Lake Country, but I am furthering my education through Penn Foster to become an LVT.
I have always had a passion for all animals. I grew up on a small farm and started grooming dogs when I was 15. Although I don't currently have any livestock, I do have two dogs named Olive and Layla.
Olive turned 4 years old in October (2025) and is my sidekick. She loves going on adventures and basically goes everywhere with me. Layla is our new addition. My boyfriend and I got her in October (2025). She also loves going on adventures, especially when her sister Olive tags along.
